Verdict

CARP KID has the most consistent recent profile and could take the finale if he can better his recent course debut. The gelding only found one too good when he was run out of things over an extended 1m2f here last month but he can again set his own tempo this time and could be hard to get by if the extra distance brings more out of him. Last Enchantment would be dangerous to underestimate and is rated as threat this time around. Perfect Grace and Simbirsk also come into the reckoning on the pick of their efforts and they complete the shortlist. Arctic Sea is also feared but most of his winning form has been gained over shorter trips.
