The three who filled the places in this race last year all have solid claims and it might be worth taking a chance on MABS CROSS. She's progressed since finishing third in this race last year, winning the Abbaye in the interim and she gets a useful swing in the weights with Battaash who got the better of her at his favourite track, Haydock, last time. Battaash wasn't at his best in this last year when forced to make his own running and warrants respect provided he can get a tow in to the race. Blue Point is a class act but he seems at his best on a rattling quick surface so preference is for Imprimis as far as the places are concerned. He makes most appeal from the international runners.
- Mabs Cross
- Battaash
- Imprimis
