Forecast

Desert Lantern (11/4), House Deposit (7/1), Ventura Glory (7/1), Evie Speed (7/1), Blazing Dreams (8/1), Dream Chick (8/1), Dabouk (9/1), Hunterwali (10/1), Mac Ailey (10/1), Separable (12/1), Supreme Dream (12/1), Donnago (25/1), Northern Footsteps (80/1)

Verdict
If this was on Tapeta at Newcastle, the much improved Blazing Dreams would surely rate as difficult to beat. However, with a wide draw (stall 11) and rain forecast on turf, there are enough reasons to be taking on the Ben Haslam-trained runner. Dabouk is a possible improver for David O'Meara now tackling handicaps for the first time, while an easing in the weights coupled with the fitting of a visor could see Mark Johnston's Desert Lantern take a step forward. However, if electing to forgive VENTURA GLORY a poor run at Nottingham, she really ought to prove competitive against these rivals on the strength of her earlier Newmarket fourth (1m) to I Am Magical.
  1. Ventura Glory
  2. Dabouk
  3. Blazing Dreams
