Cape Victory bumped into a John Gosden-trained newcomer (Almashriq) when making an encouraging debut on Tapeta at Newcastle (7f) in December, and with natural progression to be expected should be on the premises if handling the switch to Fibresand. Furthermore, the likes of Battle of Yarmouk, Ifreet and Scat King have all shown reasonable form of sorts. However, the preferred option is the vastly experienced BAROSSA RED who is unfortunate to remain a maiden after six career starts, and his prowess on this unique racing surface is already proven.
