Verdict

Paul Nicholls has won this race three times since 2010, and he saddles a couple of runners including Grand Sancy and the likeable Act Of Valour. 2017 winning trainer Nick Williams also saddles a duo in the shape of Mercenaire and Esprit De Somoza. Mitchouka has all of the required attributes for success with his recent hurdles defeats coming solely at the hands of the exciting Espoir D'Allen, but the lightly raced NUBE NEGRA gets the narrow nod. He has all important previous Cheltenham experience, and deep ground will hold no fears. Of those at bigger prices, Padleyourowncanoe stays well, and Casa Tall is an unknown commodity.
  1. Nube Negra
  2. Mitchouka
  3. Casa Tall
