Hard to escape the claims of DESERT DOCTOR, whose consistency has already been rewarded with a couple of wins - the latest of which came over C&D nine days ago. The colt was hardly troubled on that occasion and is likely to be a tough nut to crack now he goes handicapping for the first time. Big Time Maybe is also holding his form well and is likely to be the main threat from the others. Emilla James has a bit to prove after being brushed aside on recent return to racing, so Gift In Time may be the better option for long-shot to boost the forecast return.
