Verdict

Kylemore Lough is much better than he showed at Cheltenham last time and a bolder show is anticipated following his break. Brain Power was good enough to run in last season's Champion Hurdle and can be forgiven his blip last time when he was ridden too aggressively. He is likely to be held up this time given UN DE SCEAUX is almost certain to blaze off in front as usual. That may well suit the novice better, but it takes a great leap of faith to believe he can beat such a talented and experienced rival at this stage of his career and the Irish star is readily preferred. Speredek is improving at a rate of knots, but faces a huge task against these rivals at level weights, while San Benedeto, admirable performer though he may be, is not quite up to this level and is probably running for place money.
