Verdict

Second season hurdlers are set to dominate this contest and CHTI BALKO looks worth chancing on his handicap debut. He won novice hurdles easily at Catterick and Haydock and he could easily have more to come this time round. Poppy Kay is another leading contender. She strolled to success on her handicap debut and almost overcame a hefty rise at Haydock in a valuable contest. Paul Nicholls' Volpone Jelois must also enter the reckoning, as the youngest horse in the lineup and in receipt of weight from all.
  1. Chti Balko
  2. Poppy Kay
  3. Volpone Jelois
