Black Hawk Eagle¹⁷²

Age: 8| Weight: 11-10| J: C O'Farrell| T: Kerry Lee| OR: 122| CD

Flat/hurdles winner who returned from a 5-month lay-off when off the mark in this sphere in 3-runner event at Chepstow in March. Still going as well as any when falling at Hereford following month before stamina looked an issue next time. Off 6 months but can go well fresh.

Form: 2631F-4

Rula Bula¹⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-9| J: Jonjo O'Neill Jr.| T: J & A O'Neill| OR: 121| BF| D

Low mileage mare who is built for fences and duly matched her best hurdles form when second of 5 at Uttoxeter on chase bow/return 19 days ago, unable to reel in the race-fit winner. Big shout with a repeat but not sure to be in same form judging on her profile.

Form: 5/1575-2

Inside Man³⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 11-5| J: C Gethings| T: Mrs J Williams| OR: 117| CD

Notched his fourth career win over hurdles at Newton Abbot on return last season but failed to kick on after. Came in for support on chase bow/return there 5 weeks ago but was always behind (made mistakes).

Form: 1/1794-4

Tour Ovalie²³

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: Adam Wedge| T: Mrs C Williams| OR: 112| D

Likeable 6-time winner over hurdles over this trip and made a decent start over the larger obstacles when third at Worcester on return last month, though her tendency to jump right is a slight concern kept to a left-handed track.

Form: 3340-83

Forecasts

Rula Bula (5/4), Desertmore News (11/4), Tour Ovalie (9/2), Black Hawk Eagle (8/1), Inside Man (8/1)

RULA BULA failed to kick on after her winning comeback last season, but she's built for chasing and is taken to progress this time after an encouraging debut in this sphere at Uttoxeter. Desertmore News also made a promising start to his chase career at Ffos Las so is feared most.
