Pulled up both starts in 2024 for Henrietta Knight before missing last year. Hasn't offered much in 3 outings for current yard since returning from his lengthy absence, tailed off at Southwell 15 days ago on this season's reappearance.

In need of experience in a pair of bumpers, before making a promising hurdling debut when just denied in a Ludlow novice (2m) in March. Ran to a similar level after 6 months off when second of 7 in maiden at Uttoxeter 24 days ago and he's the one to beat up in trip.

Fairly useful on the Flat, making all in the Cesarewitch Trial at Newmarket (2¼m) last month but finding it tougher to repeat the same tactics in the main event 18 days ago. One to note given his ability on the level, with tongue strap retained.
|
Strong at the line when making a winning debut in bumper at Plumpton (2¼m) in May and defied a penalty in 6-runner event at Market Rasen (17f) the following month. Interesting hurdling debutant as he returns from 4 months off.
|
Didn't show much in 2 bumpers but fared better sent hurdling when runner-up in a Down Royal maiden (2½m) in August. However, making first run since leaving J. G. Cosgrave he pulled too hard upped to 2¾m when fifth of 7 in maiden at Stratford 11 days ago.
|
Useful form at best on the Flat, winning a Cork handicap last spring (1½m) before runner-up in listed race at Navan (13f). However, he went the wrong way in a trio of handicaps this year. Off 4 months ahead of going hurdling on first run since leaving Robson de Aguiar.

Forecasts
Current Edition (4/5), Scotto (5/2), Premiere Ligne (4/1), What's Your Game (22/1), Seamy Appletart (50/1), Celine Man (250/1)
CURRENT EDITION has shown promise when finishing second both starts over hurdles so far, leading until after the last at Uttoxeter on his return, and he could be ready to go one better for his in-form yard. Scotto is feared most having won both of his outings in bumpers, with Premiere Ligne also considered.
