Bordering on useful up to 1¾m on Flat and showed the benefit of his initial experience over hurdles when readily landing 2m maiden at Southwell in May. Made hard work of defying a penalty but ran well under this 10-lb claimer when second to a useful rival at Stratford last month. The one to beat.
Made the frame on 2 of his 3 outings in bumpers and overcame a 13-month absence to make a winning start to his career over hurdles in 2m Worcester maiden in May, just holding on. More needed under a penalty, however.
Won sole outing in Irish points and confirmed bumper debut promise with victory at Fakenham (2m) in February, looking value for a bit extra over the result. Better than bare result in Grade 2 at Aintree on final outing and very interesting hurdling debutant (had breathing operation).
Little promise in a bumper/brace of bumpers maiden hurdles for John Josepth Hanlon. Left that yard for only £1,500 in January and, while he's been successful on all 3 starts in points for current connections since, he looks best watched for a yard struggling for form so far in 2026/27.
No promise in a bumper/pair of maiden hurdles.

€72,000 3-y-o, Goliath du Berlais gelding. Dam, 2¼m hurdle winner in France, half-sister to French hurdler (17f/2¼m winner) Magic Flight. Failed to meet market expectations when only fifth of 7 in a Stratford bumper on debut back in March and seemingly the yard's second string now sent hurdling.
€28,000 3-y-o, Tirwanako gelding. Half-brother to fair 2½m hurdle winner Jacobs Acre. Dam ran twice in bumpers. Has joined a respected NH yard after opening his account in points at the second attempt (Apr 2026).
Well beaten all 3 starts in bumpers last season. Has had a breathing operation ahead of this switch to hurdling in a first-time hood.
Getaway mare who beat sole other finisher on her second outing in Irish points and made an encouraging start to her career under Rules when third of 8 in a heavy-ground bumper at Hexham back in March. Goes hurdling now but is possibly more one for longer tips later on.
Poet's Word filly who finished fourth in an Irish point and looked one for the longer term setting out under Rules in a hood when a well-held fifth in a weak mares' maiden at Market Rasen just under a fortnight ago.

Forecasts
Cooltobecareless (1/1), King's Scholar (2/1), Herbies Sock (9/2), Kind Intention (9/1), Lady Bam (11/1), No Hard Feelings (66/1), Goliath Flight (100/1), Poets Pearl (200/1), Teletime (500/1), Jubilee Jack (500/1)
COOLTOBECARLESS was value for extra when landing a Fakenham bumper in February prior to shaping much better than the distance beaten suggests in a Grade 2 at Aintree on final outing. He makes plenty of appeal now switching to hurdling, especially having run well at this meeting 12 months earlier and given that he's in receipt of weight from the doubly penalised King's Scholar, who does have a 10-lb claimer on again. Herbies Sock, a point winner in April, has joined a respected yard.
