Rocky Alfonso¹⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 11-10| J: Mr D Doyle⁽⁵⁾| T: S Curling

6/1

Camacho gelding who proved easy to back but showed ability when fourth of 13 in bumper at Roscommon on debut in early August, the emphasis on speed suiting. Fared best of those held up at Navan (1m) subsequently and should make presence felt again.

Form: 45

The Aussie Warbler

Age: 4| Weight: 11-10| J: Mr J C Barry| T: Tom Dreaper

33/1

Australia gelding. Dam 1m winner in US. Others more appealing on paper.

Tomahawk Juke

7/2

€3,000 3-y-o, Jukebox Jury gelding. Dam, pulled up in points, half-sister to bumper winner/fairly useful 2½m hurdle winner Turn Turk. A cheap purchase but in good hands and would enter the reckoning if supported in the betting.

4/5

Poet's Word gelding. Dam 1m-1½m winner. Produced a promising first effort when runner-up to a useful rival in 8-runner bumper at Leopardstown (2m, soft) in March and is the form pick.

11/2

Jet Away filly. Dam unraced sister to Champion Bumper winner The Mourne Rambler. Shaped like a stayer when sixth of 19 in valuable sales bumper at Punchestown (17f) on debut in April, finishing with running left. Entitled to do better.

Form: 6-

Ellen Imlach

Age: 4| Weight: 11-3| J: Mr H C Swan| T: G Elliott

13/2

Bathyrhon filly. Half-sister to useful hurdler/very smart chaser Ash Tree Meadow and fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Darcy Ward. Noteworthy newcomer.

Forecasts

Way With Words (2/1), Ellen Imlach (7/2), Tomahawk Juke (5/1), Birdie Conway (6/1), Rocky Alfonso (6/1), The Aussie Warbler (8/1), She's Trixy (10/1), Morris From Mayo (25/1)

WAY WITH WORDS produced a promising first effort when runner-up to a now useful sort at Leopardstown in March and has to be considered the one to beat on that form. Ellen Imlach is a noteworthy newcomer from a top stable, while Birdie Conway caught the eye finishing with running left in a valuable event at Punchestown on her debut and also enters calculations.
