Free World^t1²⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 10-2| J: P Mulrennan| T: Ian Williams| OR: 66

5/2

Well backed dropped even further in grade when making all at Catterick (2m) in August. Not in quite the same form when fourth at Newmarket next time but had soft ground as a possible excuse when well beaten at Chester 24 days ago. Type to bounce back with a tongue strap now added.

Pfingstberg^p1,t1³⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 9-11| J: J Garritty| T: M Walford| OR: 61

10/1

Steadily progressive from a low base when successful 3 times over 2m for David Simcock in 2024. However, didn't last long on back of a near 2-year layoff starting out for new yard at Beverley in August. This can reveal more with cheekpieces/tongue strap added.

Noble Grace²²

Age: 5| Weight: 9-9| J: Edward Greatrex| T: W Greatrex| OR: 59

2/1

Won at Ffos Las over 1½m in July and, though only seventh of 12 in a handicap at Bath tackling 1¾m 22 days ago, she actually shaped as if needing even more of a stamina test and now goes beyond 2m for the first time.

Further Measure^p¹³

Age: 9| Weight: 9-6| J: C Lee| T: M Murphy| OR: 56

7/2

Won over 2m at Kempton in February and posted one of his better recent efforts when 4 lengths fourth of 9 in handicap at Southwell 13 days ago, racing freely from his wide draw. Task now is to back that up having a rare start on turf.

Simiyann^p,t²³

Age: 6| Weight: 9-4| J: Cam Hardie| T: M E Sowersby| OR: 54

4/1

Four-time winner at up to 2m who hasn't been at his best despite a sliding mark this year, plugging on for fifth in handicap at Ffos Las (2m) 39 days ago. Since left Ian Williams for only 2,400 gns but not out of things in an open-looking event. Cheekpieces back on in place of visor.

Form: 42335V

Bodygroove^p²¹

Age: 6| Weight: 8-12| J: Aiden Brookes| T: Micky Hammond| OR: 48

16/1

Hurdles winner at Wetherby (2m) in March 2025 but limited impact on Flat/over hurdles since, well held on the back of 6 months off at Sedgefield 21 days ago.

Forecasts

Noble Grace (15/8), Simiyann (3/1), Free World (7/2), Further Measure (9/2), Pfingstberg (10/1), Bodygroove (33/1)

FREE WORLD has fewer miles on the clock than most and with his latest effort best overlooked on account of the ground, he's selected to quickly bounce back. Noble Grace looked in need of an even greater emphasis on stamina over 1¾m at Bath recently and is next best, ahead of Simiyann.
