12/1

Fairly useful chaser who won novice at Roscommon last summer and gave it a good go under a change of tactics when fourth of 10 in a handicap at Wexford in July. Freshened up since a lesser effort at Galway at the beginning of August.

Form: 45-5547

14/1

Fairly useful hurdler. Won a Kilbeggan maiden chase in June but behind Soir De Garde in a Grade 3 novice at Galway next time and folded tamely at Wexford since. A tongue tie is reached for after that.

Form: 4P-214P

Soir De Garde⁶²

Age: 8| Weight: 11-10| J: Paul Townend| T: W P Mullins| OR: 130

7/4

Matched fairly useful hurdle form when making a successful chase debut at Wexford in June. Good 3¼ lengths third of 7 to Shadow Paddy in Grade 3 novice at Galway (2¼m, good to soft) since, particularly as his jumping was again erratic. The mount of Townend from the stable pair.

Form: 1/2FP-13

2/1

Gained a third hurdling win of 2026 at Roscommon in June and was set to make a winning start over fences when crashing out at the last at Kilbeggan (3m, good to soft) 26 days ago. Player if none the worse.

Straight Home^t¹⁹

Age: 9| Weight: 10-11| J: Brian Hayes| T: W P Mullins| OR: 124| BF| D

11/4

Point/bumper winner. Progressive in handicap hurdles last year and showed she's taken well to fences when second of 9 in 23f Ballinrobe maiden (good) 19 days ago. Seemingly overlooked by Paul Townend but holds leading form claims.

Form: 71/41-32

Forecasts

Soir De Garde (7/4), Chanceawetmorning (2/1), Straight Home (11/4), Itsalladream (12/1), Le Coq Hardi (14/1), Minella Sixo (22/1)

STRAIGHT HOME showed she retains her ability at the second time of asking back from an absence when runner-up at Ballinrobe recently and can build on that and go one better now, possibly at the expense of stablemate Soir De Garde, who is the mount of Paul Townend. Chanceawetmorning should also have a say if suffering no ill effects from his late fall at Kilbeggan.
