Premier Road Markings Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Off time: 16:16 | Winning time: 4m 0.97s

Dream Diamond¹⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 12-0| J: J J Burke| T: James Owen| OR: 110| D

11/8

Impressive all-the-way winner of a Worcester novice hurdle on stable debut last summer and back in similar heart when making the frame in handicaps this season. Failed to meet expectations sent chasing after an unconvincing round of jumping at Uttoxeter a fortnight ago, though.

Jet Of Dreams^p,t¹⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 12-0| J: James Bowen| T: W Greatrex| OR: 110| CD

7/2

Registered a fifth career victory over fences in this corresponding event last year. Patchy form since, though possibly needed run after 4 months off at Uttoxeter last time and back down to a good mark.

Form: 1394-F4

Lady Kara^t¹⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 11-9| J: Luke Scott⁽³⁾| T: Dr R Newland| OR: 105

7/1

Thriving over hurdles and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat when completing a hat-trick at Newton Abbot in June. Ran her best race over fences when fourth of 8 at Uttoxeter a fortnight ago but lacks size and remains a risky proposition in this sphere.

Form: 111U44

Mary^t⁷²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-6| J: C J Todd| T: Ian Williams| OR: 102| D

85/40

Looked set to go close again when taking another late fall in a novice handicap chase at Bangor in May. Has shaped as if still in good form on both subsequent outings and is likely to benefit from this drop back in trip.

Form: 45-2F33

Kinbara Firstdraft^t²²

Age: 7| Weight: 10-8| J: D R Fox| T: L Kerr| OR: 90| D

25/1

Has shown little sign of a return to form following a breathing operation, including back over hurdles last time. Others preferred.

Form: 745469

Forecasts

Dream Diamond (11/8), Mary (85/40), Jet Of Dreams (7/2), Lady Kara (7/1), Kinbara Firstdraft (25/1)

JET OF DREAMS quite possibly needed the run after a 4-month break at Uttoxeter recently and having been given a chance by the handicapper, is a tentative selection to repeat his win in this race last year. Mary gives the impression she'll benefit from this return to shorter and is feared most.
