Still a fairly useful chaser last season, excelling himself in first-time visor when third in the Plate at the Cheltenham Festival. Offered little in Haydock handicap hurdle on final start for John McConnell in May. This is probably a pipe-opener for new yard, unless the market suggests otherwise.
Quirky sort. Runner-up in a stronger 0-120 at Haydock prior to chasing home a cosy winner at Ascot later in March. Fortunate to get off the mark at Ludlow (23f) the following month, though did improve for the longer trip. Needs a close look for yard that usually has them ready to roll.
Veteran who gained due reward for a consistent spell when readily seeing off Secret Trix (who reopposes on better terms) at Uttoxeter in June. Hasn't proved as potent in a couple of subsequent starts over fences, however, he should give a good account off only 2 lb higher back over hurdles.
Consistent sort. Third in a better event at Haydock before knocking on the door with back-to-back seconds at Uttoxeter/Perth. Not seen to best effect under a 10-lb conditional at Bangor last time. Likely to be thereabouts with Sean Bowen returning, though may not get his ideal pace scenario again.
Suited by test of speed when successful on first try over a staying trip at Hereford in April. Ended last season on a high when beaten 6½ lengths in a stronger race at Haydock. Interesting back down in grade, especially as he's gone well fresh previously (yard's first jumps runner in 3½ months).
Quirky sort. Impressive winner of a pair of Warwick novice hurdles in 2024/5. Hinted at a revival on final start of disappointing chase campaign and benefitted from a good ride when winning on return to hurdles (now 3-4) over 2½m here latest. Comes with risks attached back up in trip, though.
Veteran who completed a hat-trick here in June 2025. Ran right up to his best when runner-up over C&D second time up this year. Returns to hurdles having not enjoyed himself in refitted blinkers (now removed) over fences here 10 weeks ago. Only Harry Skelton's seventh outside ride so far in 2026/7.
Without a win since spring 2024. Again didn't help his cause with a mixed round of jumping over fences when 11½ lengths third at Uttoxeter last time. He's typically more fluent over hurdles and has at least been competitive off this sort of mark.
Now 7 lb lower than solid handicap debut third this time last year. Looked back in top form for current connections when 5½-length second (third won since) at Fontwell (2¾m), sent for home too far out. Stamina to prove over a longer trip in a better race here, for all he does stay well on the Flat.

Forecasts
The Egyptian Ginge (5/2), Secret Trix (5/1), That's Nice (5/1), Gold For Alec (6/1), Gwash (8/1), Tiger Orchid (17/2), Break Point (9/1), I'm A Starman (16/1), Moon D'orange (28/1)
GOLD FOR ALEC ended last season on the up and has run well fresh previously. He's narrowly preferred to Secret Trix in an open-looking handicap. The Egyptian Ginge isn't fully exposed over staying trips and could go well for a yard that usually has them ready to roll at this time of year.
