Built on a promising debut when knuckling down well to score at Newbury in July and having found the Acomb Stakes at York too much, got back on track in the calmer waters of a nursery when winning 8-runner event at Doncaster (7f, good) a fortnight ago. Can progress again upped in class.
135,000 gns yearling, Too Darn Hot colt who was all the rage in the betting and made a winning start in 6-runner novice on July course (6f, good) last month, picking up in taking fashion once he realised what was required. Takes the immediate step up to pattern company.
Put his extra run of experience to good use when winning 3-runner novice at Leicester (7f, good to firm) early last month, closed down gradually final 100 yds having made all. Will need to take another step forward here but that's possible.
Wootton Bassett colt who was much sharper 11 weeks on from his debut and also proved well suited by the longer trip when winning 11-runner maiden at York (7f, good) earlier in the month. Will go on improving so warrants considerable respect upped in grade with Moore taking over.
Promise over 6f on debut and was much improved when winning 6-runner maiden at Lingfield (7f) later in May, making all for a 6-length victory. Found out in better company in Superlative Stakes on the July course (7f, good to firm) 11 weeks ago and others more appealing.
Sergei Prokofiev colt who confirmed debut promise when winning 13-runner novice at Kempton (7f) just under 3 weeks ago, quickening to lead entering final 1f. Will go on improving and is one to look out for with Murphy taking over in the plate.
Looked very promising when winning 2 novice events at Salisbury (6f/7f) earlier this summer. Found Vintage Stakes at Goodwood too much but having been gelded, ran respectably on his nursery debut when fifth of 8 at Doncaster (7f, good) a fortnight ago. Better still to come.
Bumped into subsequent Coventry Stakes fourth at York (5f) on debut in May before confirming that promise to land the odds in a 5-runner novice at Pontefract (6f, good) last month. Took his form up another notch when fifth of 9 in listed event at Doncaster recently so he's one to consider.

GREAT BALLS O'FIRE picked up in taking fashion once he realised what was required when making a winning debut on the July course last month and with further improvement on the cards, he's taken to handle this marked step up in class in his stride for connections who can seemingly do no wrong. Mezzo Forte impressed when scoring at York recently, so he heads up the threats, with Varzi and Fuel The Jet taken to fight out minor honours.
