Arthurian¹⁷

Age: 2| Weight: 9-7| J: Jason Hart| T: A M Balding| OR: 96

8/13

Camelot colt who matched debut form when second in a Haydock maiden (1m) in August and then found a chunk of improvement upped markedly in grade when third of 5 in listed company back over that C&D (soft) 17 days ago. Sets a high standard back in much calmer waters.

Form: 623

Austin¹⁹

Age: 2| Weight: 9-7| J: T Eaves| T: K A Ryan

20/1

Lope De Vega colt from a useful home-bred family who ran as if in need of run for fitness/experience but clearly has ability, catching the eye with his mid-race move before that effort took its toll. Imposing type who looks sure to improve on that initial effort.

Form: 8

(3)

Bayraktar¹⁶

Age: 2| Weight: 9-7| J: Pierre-Louis Jamin| T: K R Burke

6/4

State of Rest colt who was conspicuously green early but produced a promising first effort nevertheless when second in a class 2 York maiden (7f) 16 days ago, noted doing good late work. Increase in trip looks sure to suit and he's sure to progress (holds a Group 1 entry).

Form: 2

Stellar Quest¹¹⁵

Age: 2| Weight: 9-7| J: Jack Nicholls⁽³⁾| T: K R Burke

66/1

Son of Space Traveller who offered little starting out in selling company when ninth of 12 in a 6f contest at Chester back in May. Takes a significant step up in trip (also gelded) on return from a break but yard look to hold much more pressing claims with Bayraktar.

Form: 9

Forecasts

Arthurian (8/13), Bayraktar (6/4), Austin (20/1), Stellar Quest (66/1)

ARTHURIAN sets a tall standard judged on his third in listed company at Haydock 17 days ago and looks the way to go returned to calmer waters. Bayraktar appeals as the lead danger following his York debut second, whilst Austin looks sure to build on his opening run at Haydock.
