Cape Warrior¹⁴⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 11-0| J: S Bowen| T: Micky Hammond

10/11

Flat-bred gelding coped well with the test of speed when second of 5 in a Wetherby bumper on debut in March, albeit grossly flattered by his proximity to the winner. Showed similar form when filling same spot over C&D the following month and merits respect, especially with Sean Bowen booked.

Form: 22-

Lady Scarphia

Age: 5| Weight: 10-9| J: Sean Quinlan| T: Micky Hammond

11/2

Wings of Eagles mare who is a half-sister to connections' dual bumper winner You Be Lucky Jean. Interesting newcomer, especially if the market speaks in her favour.

Form:

Arc Kunoichi^t1¹⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-7| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: R Menzies

9/1

Iffraaj filly who displayed some ability when fifth of 9 in a Sedgefield bumper (17f) on recent debut, though the emphasis on speed was probably more in her favour than a few of her more stoutly-bred rivals.

Form: 5

Roohu

25/1

2,000 gns 3-y-o, Awtaad filly. Sister to a winner and half-sister to 4 winners on Flat, including useful 6f/7f winner Passionova. Dam maiden on Flat in France. A cheap purchase given pedigree.

Non-Runners

Back In Favour⁴⁵

Weight: 10-9| Age: 5

T: A McCann J: Miss A B O'Connor

Forecasts

Cape Warrior (10/11), Back In Favour (9/4), Going On (5/2), Lady Scarphia (11/2), Arc Kunoichi (9/1), Roohu (25/1)

LADY SCARPHIA makes appeal on paper as a half-sister to connections' dual bumper winner You Be Lucky Jean, so she could be up to doing the business on her debut. Going On is another newcomer to note, while Back In Favour sets the standard, though could prove vulnerable if the race develops into a sprint finish.
