On the up when completing a second double of his career in the Carlisle Bell in June. Has found things tougher in higher grades and off higher marks since but has edged back down the handicap as a result and current mark sits just 2 lb above his last winning one. Cheekpieces back on.
Improved model on all-weather/refitted with cheekpieces this year, dominant when adding to his tally at Wolverhampton (7f) in May. Ran a cracker after 3 months off/from much-inflated mark when third at Southwell (7f) 16 days ago. Engaged 15.53 Chester Friday.
Promising third on debut for Ed Walker last autumn and won on first 2 starts for current yard this year, following up his Thirsk success with another dominant all-the-way win over C&D in June. Did too much too soon from wide draw at Musselburgh last time and again finds himself poorly drawn here.
Useful at his peak in Ireland and made the most of a marked drop in grade fitted with headgear when landing 3-runner seller at Beverley in July. Best effort since joining current connections when ¾-length second of 8 to Nyman at Thirsk a week ago. Needs more in this company, though.
Fairly useful performer in France for H-A. Pantall, winning 2 of his last 3 starts, namely 9f minor event at Pau in May and a 9f 3-y-o handicap at Dieppe in June. Sold for €40,000 following month (has been gelded) and best watched down in trip and around a sharp track on debut for new yard.
Confirmed previous promise when winning over C&D in June and July. Didn't get the chance to show what she could do on hat-trick bid at Goodwood last time after being posted wide and failing to settle. Return to this venue a major plus and remains on a handy mark. Big chance.
A 3-time winner in 2025, including twice on heavy. Has held his form this year despite not winning, finishing in the frame on 6 of his last 7 outings, including when second in a C&D event in June and when fourth at Musselburgh latest. Should be in the mix. Engaged 15.53 Chester Friday.
Course winner who has been proving more miss than hit of late. Her best effort this season came when 3¾ lengths third of 10 to Warrior Mode at Kempton last month. Ran poorly here on Friday.
Came as close to ending his lengthy losing run as he has in a long time when a head third of 13 to Faoladh in 7f handicap at Galway last month, though it was his initial reluctance to knuckle down that ultimately cost him. He's well handicapped if handling the idiosyncrasies of this track.

Forecasts
Crazee Icon (9/4), The Resdev Scholar (7/2), Eagle Bay (6/1), Apache Outlaw (13/2), Midnight Strike (8/1), Dublin Bay (17/2), Kindest Nation (14/1), Priapos (28/1), Ganodin (40/1)
CRAZEE ICON has already won twice at this venue this year and, with her latest effort easily excused, she is taken to prove her revised mark is still a favourable one and resume winning ways. The Resdev Scholar went close over C&D in June and looks the main danger, while Apache Outlaw is well handicapped on his best form if taking to the track.
