Has won 3 times on the Flat this year, including minor event at this course (1¼m) and handicap at Musselburgh (12.5f) in June. Mixed form since, though found the drop back to 9f against him when fourth of 7 at Musselburgh last time. Possibilities returned to further.
Successful twice on the Flat early last year, including over this C&D. Looked unlucky not to add to his tally when second at Beverley in June, denied a clear run, but not in the same form last 2 starts. On a handy mark given more time ahead of this race.
Remains a maiden but was runner-up over this C&D in January. However, he's finished down the field all 3 starts on the Flat since and fared little better over hurdles at Hexham when last seen in June. Switches back to cheekpieces in this sphere.
Made second start for Joey Ramsden a winning one in a Catterick handicap in May. Raced too freely on final outing for that yard, but scored easily on first run for Jessica Macey in 11-runner minor event at Wolverhampton 8 days ago. Respected under a penalty.
All 3 career victories were gained at this course back in 2023/24. However, has been increasingly held back by his slow starts, losing all chance and tailed off over this C&D 2 weeks ago. Has enough to prove with cheekpieces refitted.
Took a step forward sent handicapping for Ed Bethell when fifth of 14 at Leicester in April. Well held on stable debut, before seeming stretched by the step up to 1½m when sixth of 7 at Beverley 5 weeks ago.
Has shown improved form upped to 1½m this season, opening account at Beverley in June and overcoming a less-than-ideal position when following up at Hamilton 23 days ago. Can make a bold bid for the hat-trick with more still to offer.
Still looking for a breakthrough victory but finished closer than previously when ¾-length second of 8 in handicap at Catterick (1¾m) 8 days ago, beaten only by a well-treated type. Task is now to build on latest effort.
Fair winner on the all-weather in Ireland but failed to beat a rival in 4 starts for current yard last year. After 8 months off, again struggled when eighth of 9 in handicap over C&D in February and has been absent again since. Cheekpieces back on.

Forecasts
Satyress (7/2), Mr Withington (4/1), Neddies Boy (4/1), Gemini Man (9/2), Lawmans Blis (5/1), Bruce Banner (7/1), Bouboule (14/1), Porter's Song (50/1), Brunello Breeze (80/1)
SATYRESS has won both starts since upped to this trip, doing well in the circumstances when scoring at Hamilton last time, and she can continue her progress to land the hat-trick. Lawmans Blis arrives on the back of a successful stable debut and is feared most under a penalty, ahead of Gemini Man.
