Landed back-to-back all-weather 7f handicaps in October (including over this C&D). Best effort of present campaign when sixth in a Goodwood handicap in May and possible she found race coming too soon when below that level at Carlisle later that month. Absent since and market best guide.

Three-time winner in 2025 who has raised his game further for George Boughey this year, resuming winning ways at Newcastle (1m) in March. Not at that level next 2 starts but quickly back on the up when second at Yarmouth (1m) in June. Changed hands for 20,000 gns since and he's a player here.

Won twice over 7f last summer in positive campaign and hard to knock his consistency in trio of starts during first half of this season, again going close when third at Doncaster (7f) 68 days ago. Rejoined Ann Duffield ahead of this and he's certainly not ruled out.

Twice a winner during a steadily progressive 2025. Picked up where he left off when going in again at Wolverhampton (7f) in March. Good third at Chester next time and probably best not judged too harshly on his last run at Epsom in June. Type to quickly get back on track.

C&D winner who began the season with victory at Kempton (7f) in May and back to that level when second over C&D in July. Shaped as if still in good form despite not being ideally placed when seventh back at Kempton 2 weeks ago and it is easy to envisage a better showing.

Dual winner as a 2-y-o who has been much improved back on all-weather in refitted cheekpieces, dominant as he made it 2 wins from his last 3 starts at Wolverhampton (7f) in May. Hit with a 10 lb rise on the back of that, though, so this understandably demands more following 3 months off.

Progressed with each of his 3 starts last year, comfortably winning 11-runner C&D maiden in October. Gelded during 9-month absence and having flopped on reappearance, he showed much more fitted with a tongue tie when third at Doncaster 26 days ago. Player for yard enjoying a fine season.

Registered back-to-back C&D victories in July but was off the bridle a long way out when encountering trouble at Carlisle (7f) 8 days ago. Return to all-weather rates a plus but this a warm race from a mark he's yet to defy.

Overcame inexperience when readily making a winning debut at Newcastle (6f) in November. Shaping up well this season, building on his encouraging handicap debut effort with a much-improved second at York (7f) 33 days ago. Remains unexposed at 7f and fancied to play a lead role.

Progressive in 2024 but record this season has been patchy and the application of a first-time visor failed to spark a revival at Haydock on his latest start 3 weeks ago. Switched yards ahead of this.

Confirmed promise of his previous start when registering another Newcastle victory to his tally in May. Exploits somewhat mixed in trio of turf outings since but this ease back down in class a plus ahead of the return to all-weather.

Forecasts

Mr Noble (7/4), Haaderr (7/2), Chalk Mountain (9/2), Pietro (9/1), Master Richard (12/1), Fouette (18/1), King Of Fury (18/1), Dublin Bay (22/1), Carron (22/1), King's School (25/1), New Image (25/1)

Verdict

No shortage of chances in a competitive affair but CARRON found only a subsequent winner too strong on his final start for George Boughey at Yarmouth in June and, boasting a particularly appealing record on all-weather (3 wins from 4 starts) he could be the answer on debut for Ruth Carr. That said, Mr Noble and Haaderr are 2 improving 3-y-os who command plenty of respect, with Pietro another needing consideration back from a break.
