Bowensonfire^h²⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 11-12| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott| D

7/4

Not necessarily bred to be a chaser but made a sound start over the larger obstacles when runner-up at Galway 3 weeks ago. Sets a pretty solid standard.

Form: 1107-42

Daddy Long Legs²⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 11-12| J: Brian Hayes| T: W P Mullins| BF| D

13/8

Flattered when runner-up in the Irish Champion Hurdle last year but he's a smart sort and ran well to finish second in the Sussex Champion Hurdle last spring. Landed the odds in a Ballinrobe minor event in May and ahead of Bowensonfire at Limerick last month. Classy chase recruit.

Form: 5292/12

Eastmore^p1¹⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-12| J: Philip Byrnes| T: C Byrnes| D

28/1

Career-best effort over hurdles when landing a gamble in handicap company at Limerick last month. Well held from revised mark latest and lacks the class of a few of these now chasing with cheekpieces on.

Form: 22-3218

Putapoundinthejar²³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-12| J: Daniel King| T: A J Martin| D

9/4

Arrives in top form over hurdles in recent weeks, winning a couple of big-field handicaps at up to 17f, latterly the Galway Hurdle. Looks an interesting chase debutant.

Form: 605-311

Therellbguddaysyet²⁴

Age: 10| Weight: 11-12| J: Darragh O'Keeffe| T: P O'Flynn| OR: 103

40/1

Point winner who was mid-field on chase debut in April 2025. Limited impact twice since and likely to lack the pace and class to get involved.

Form: 6/4-58P5

Forecasts

Daddy Long Legs (13/8), Bowensonfire (7/4), Putapoundinthejar (9/4), Kilgame (9/2), Eastmore (28/1), Therellbguddaysyet (40/1)

A useful contest in store with DADDY LONG LEGS sure to have been expertly prepared for this chasing debut, so he can get the better of Bowensonfire. Putapoundinthejar won the Galway Hurdle last month so switches to the larger obstacles at the top of his game.
