Runner-up to a next-time-out winner over C&D in May. Subsequently chased home a couple of next-time-out winners at Plumpton and form of his latest ½-length second here is working out pretty well, too. Makes appeal on return from 7 weeks off.
Long-standing maiden. Best recent effort when second in claiming hurdle at Sligo in June. Well held in Flat handicap on final start for Paul John Gilligan and looks unlikely to break his duck back hurdling for new yard.
Temperamental sort hasn't kicked on from promising start over hurdles. Cheekpieces (on for first time in this sphere) could help sharpen up his jumping, and he hasn't been long with excellent yard (also saddles Jet Patrol).
Winner of this corresponding event on stable debut 12 months ago. Back in form couple of starts last month, promising more than delivered when beaten 4½ lengths at Uttoxeter last time. No surprise if James Owen has had an eye on a repeat, though he does come with risks attached (has bled).
Strong-travelling sort. Won twice at Uttoxeter last summer/autumn. Things haven't gone to plan since his reappearance, possibly needing the run at Market Rasen latest (10 weeks on from a fall). Not to be taken lightly if back on song.
Seemingly all the better for a change of yards when scoring readily over C&D on reappearance. Wasn't in the same form at Uttoxeter last month, and this is a better race than he won here on stable debut.
Course bumper winner who nearly made it 2-2 at Bangor last June. Below his fair bumper form both handicap hurdle starts, again not looking entirely straightforward when beaten 9 lengths at Newton Abbot in early-June.
Borderline useful on Flat in 2024. Well below that level but did show first hurdles form when 9 lengths second on reappearance at Uttoxeter in early-June. No surprise to see tongue strap added (made a noise last time) and at least warrants a market check on second start for Christian Williams.
Fair 3-time Flat winner. Decisively opened his hurdle account at Wetherby (soft) in February before matching that form on final start for David Thompson. Subsequently picked up by all-conquering Skelton team for £21,000 and looks very interesting returning on the back of a breathing operation.
Pulled for second consecutive start here in June 2024. Plenty to prove returning 26 months on (undergone a breathing operation in the interim).
Added another second to her course CV (eighth runner-up finish of her career) prior to belatedly going one better at Uttoxeter later in July. Her overall profile (1-27) suggests she's worth taking on off 4 lb higher.
Point bumper winner. No form under Rules in bumpers/hurdles, finishing well beaten over C&D (50/1) on qualifying run. Out of the weights on handicap debut and hard to make a case for unless supported.

Forecasts
Northern Rose (9/2), Reteti (5/1), Berry Edge (5/1), Lord Cauvelliere (13/2), Clever Relation (8/1), Jet Patrol (8/1), Mayday Games (8/1), Diesel Line (14/1), Versatile (14/1), Eyeeye (16/1), Glance At Me (25/1), Angel Of My Dreams (25/1)
Dan Skelton has enjoyed plenty of success with new recruits this summer and BERRY EDGE looks another likely type. He's narrowly preferred to Jet Patrol, who won this corresponding race 12 months ago, with Reteti also considered on the strength of his recent form.
