Maiden hurdler but struck at the second time of asking over fences at Newcastle in April. Lesser efforts under more patient tactics the last twice, though he's capable of getting involved returned to this level.
Successful first 3 starts over fences (including over 19f at this course) for Harry Derham but has struggled for new yard this season, in first-time visor when sixth of 10 at Uttoxeter 20 days ago. Down in class but others still more persuasive.
Won twice last season, including over 3m here during the summer. Ended the campaign out of form, but got back on track when fourth of 9 at this course 6 weeks ago. Has dropped below his last winning mark if able to build on latest run.
Successful on chasing debut at Bangor in April and resumed winning ways in good style at this course (3m) last month. Didn't find as much as looked likely when second at Worcester 11 days later, but he could be in the mix back down in trip.
Took advantage of his reduced mark when doubling his tally in 4-runner contest at Huntingdon (3m) in May. However, he failed to repeat that effort when mid-field at Uttoxeter 22 days ago.
Remains with only the one career success which came over 2 years ago. Unable to sustain effort when sixth of 9 in handicap at Cartmel last month and he races from out of the weights once again here.

Forecasts
Huckleberry Sting (11/10), Ribeye (9/4), La Quarite (3/1), Huit Reflets (7/2), The Clonmel Kid (13/2), Uncle Al (8/1), A Dublin Job (14/1), Fast Deal (50/1)
Having eased in the weights, HUIT REFLETS ran well despite meeting trouble when second here last time and he can build on that effort as he returns to a longer distance. He gets the vote ahead of The Clonmel Kid, who has the form to be a contender back down in grade, with Huckleberry Sting also considered.
