Westcare Home Care Claiming Hurdle

Modest hurdler. Shaped well when second in handicap at Downpatrick in June, travelling as well as any. Went about things as if still in good form there last month, paying the price for a big move into contention. Has work to do at the weights.

Won a similar race at Wexford in May but wasn't in the same form when third behind Raydamann here the following month, not looking at ease on the track. Ran respectably in apprentice handicap on the Flat at Dundalk 25 days ago. Entitled to be in the mix back over hurdles.

Successful in maiden hurdle at Limerick in April 2025 and set some stiffer tasks after but was increasingly unreliable when last seen in this sphere. Step back in right direction on Flat at Killarney last time. Has good chance on pick of form but has to be treated with a degree of caution.

Modest hurdler. Placed twice earlier this summer at Wexford and Downpatrick but well below form in Limerick handicap last month. Plenty on his plate at the weights.

Has struggled for form since since finishing second at Bellewstown last summer. Well held back in a handicap at Cartmel (2¾m, good, 40/1) 19 days ago. Not out of it on pick of form but has to prove how much ability remains.

Best effort for some time when 2¾ lengths second to Rich Belief in claiming hurdle at Wexford in May. Failed to repeat that in handicaps both starts since but looks favourably treated at the weights in this company and can bounce back.

A fair but quirky stayer on the Flat for John McConnell who has offered little over hurdles so far. The visor goes on for the first time in this sphere.

Won impressively over fences at Ayr in December but has just the one decent effort since. Others preferred.
