Foaled April 2. 45,000 gns yearling, Australia colt. Dam German maiden half-sister to smart winner up to 1¼m Elle Shadow out of smart 1m-11f winner Elle Danzig. Makes some pedigree appeal but we'll probably see the best of him over further.
450,000 gns breeze-up purchase. Showed plenty to work on when runner-up at Haydock on debut. Subsequent 4¼ lengths tenth in Windsor Castle was a very creditable effort considering his unfavoured track position. Makes plenty of appeal up in trip, even though James Doyle looks elsewhere this time.
Foaled February 23. Awtaad colt. Dam unraced, half-sister to several winners, including Oaks winner Qualify (2-y-o 7f winner) and smart 2-y-o 7f winner Shogun (both by Fastnet Rock). Has been pitched into the deep end on racecourse bow.
Foaled February 21. Zoustar colt. Half-brother to numerous winners, including very smart winner up to 7f James Garfield (2-y-o 6f winner) and useful winner up to 1m (including at 2) The Shrew. Dam 2-y-o 6f/7f winner. Owners have had plenty of success with this family. Needs a close look.
Saxon Warrior colt who finished fourth in a barrier trial. Still looked in need of the experience when 1½ lengths fourth in fairly useful race on debut at Leopardstown (7f), doing his best work at the finish. Will improve for excellent yard, but does have a sharper track/wide draw to contend with.
Finished ahead of a subsequent (fairly useful) winner when fourth in 6f Newbury novice (firm) on debut. Probably better than he showed when filling the same position at Windsor following a quick turnaround. Still likely to fall short in a hot maiden, though.
Blue Point colt who cost €450,000 at the breeze-ups. He was a warm order when held back by inexperience on debut at Windsor (6f), staying on to finish 4 lengths third under hands-and-heels. He'll improve stepping up to 7f, perhaps significantly given the jockey bookings/his lofty entries.
Good-looking son of Ghaiyyath. Again travelled strongly when beaten just under 1½ lengths at Newbury on third career start. Type to benefit from plenty of cover around a tight track (stall 2 should suit), and further improvement could see him in the hunt for the places.
Shaped very well from a poor position when 1¾ lengths second of 12 on debut at Chester (6f). The bare form (winner well held next time) looks some way off what's required, for all he's sure to improve now tackling 7f.
Foaled January 24. €38,000 foal, 70,000 gns yearling, Phoenix of Spain colt. Half-brother to 5f-6.3f (including at 2 yrs) winner Rush Queen. Dam unraced. At least warrants a market check for yard whose juveniles are in good nick (had Group 2 winner here on Tuesday).
Promising first effort when considerately-handled fourth (beaten 3 lengths) of 6 at the Curragh (7f). Improvement expected given his excellent pedigree/multiple Group entries. He's a serious player for last year's winning connections, for all stall 14 does him no favours.
Foaled April 10. Blue Point colt. Closely related to useful winner up to 11f Wolf of Badenoch (2-y-o 7f winner). Half-brother to useful 2-y-o 7.6f winner Lion of Alba. Dam, 13f winner, half-sister to smart 1½m winner Even So. Likely type on paper, though faces some good prospects with experience.
First off the bridle when beaten over 6 lengths at Newmarket (7f) on debut. No surprise to see an improved performance from a handy draw, though still likely to be vulnerable against better-calibre opposition.

AL WATHBA's promising debut second was well advertised here earlier in the week, and he's fancied to land this valuable maiden. There's surely a bigger performance to come from Speakers Corner, provided he can overcome the widest stall, while the Wathnan Racing pair Chartered Course and Market Leader also make plenty of appeal in a field stacked with interesting types.
