Won all 3 starts, making all on his last 2 and he produced a useful effort to beat subsequent winner Hickory Lad in a conditions race at Chester in May. Steps up to Group 3 level after an 84-day break and is one to take very seriously.

Won a Bath maiden in June but well held since at listed/Group level. Arguably had an excuse when in the wrong group at Newbury last time but first-time blinkers now reached for and he's got loads to find.

Off the mark in a maiden at Redcar in May before a much improved second of 21 to an exciting prospect in Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Ascot (150/1) 39 days ago. Clearly not out of place at this level and holds place claims once more.

Won impressively on debut at Bath in May but was very easy to back and flopped when 20th of 21 in a Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Ascot in June, shaping as if something was possibly amiss. Better judged on first outing for now and is in the right hands to figure at this level.

Similar efforts both starts to date, finishing runner-up at Newcastle before getting off the mark by a narrow margin in a maiden at Hamilton 18 days ago. Open to improvement but this Group 3 represents a significant step up in class.

Won on debut at Ayr over 5f in May before stepping up to Group 2 level at Ascot over 6f in June, finishing 17th of 21 in Coventry Stakes but meeting trouble. Bred for speed and back down in trip so could be worth another chance for top connections.

Won on debut over 5f at Hamilton in May and hasn't been seen to best effect over 6f at Group/listed level last 2 starts, finishing fifth of 10 at Newbury 12 days ago when the race developed away from him. Back down to 5f and has a positive jockey booking.

Won a seller over C&D in June and also scored at Windsor in a 3-runner nursery 16 days ago. Faces a much stiffer test in Group 3 company.

Improved markedly last 2 starts, beating a subsequent scorer when winning a maiden at Naas 35 days ago before excellent second of 10 in listed company at the same venue 25 days ago, beaten a head. This will require another sizeable step forward, however.

Bounced back from poor effort at Carlisle in May with good runs last 2 starts, finishing fifth of 27 in the Queen Mary (Group 2) at Royal Ascot in June before not needing to improve when winning a listed race at Deauville 25 days ago and she should be in the mix once more.

Progressive filly who got off the mark over C&D in May and then ran an excellent fourth of 27 in the Queen Mary Stakes (Group 2) at Royal Ascot in June, keeping on well. That level of form gives her leading claims in what looks an open renewal.

Forecasts

Pershaada (11/4), Crownbreaker (10/3), Sale Shark (9/2), Adonius (5/1), Ruler's Pride (15/2), El Floridita (10/1), Brazilian Diva (28/1), Flight Signal (28/1), Undercover Affair (33/1), Hell Of A Spin (66/1), Bill The Bull (125/1)

Verdict

PERSHAADA and Crownbreaker were separated by little in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot and could be the pair to concentrate on in what looks a wide-open renewal with the former's previous C&D success swinging things in her favour. Adonius has had some time off since a busy start to his career and could be primed for a big effort stepping up in grade so could prove next best.
