A 5-time winner, including over fences here last season, and returned with a career best when second to My Gaffer in handicap hurdle at Killarney. Up 2 lb but has strong track credentials, having also been runner-up on his sole hurdles start here, so must be on the shortlist.

In good heart over fences for most of the spring, winning an amateur handicap at Leopardstown before twice finishing runner-up and then running well for long way in Connaught National. Ran badly last time, though, and return to hurdling needs to spark a swift revival.

Completed a hat-trick in this sphere last August and hasn't shape at all badly both starts this time around. not seen to best effect when mid-field in handicap at Downpatrick last time. Employing his usual patient approach could leave him a hostage to fortune pace-wise, however.

Kept mistakes to a minimum and confirmed return to form when winning 14-runner handicap chase at Killarney in May, beating Sophia Rose by ½ length. Not disgraced when fifth from 7 lb higher mark at Limerick 10 days later but races from an even higher one now back over hurdles.

Winning hurdle debut remains standout effort in this sphere, though has been in decent heart on the Flat of late, hitting the frame on 2 occasions. Stamina to prove over this longer trip now reverting to obstacles.

Fairly useful hurdler who tends to finish weakly and has largely struggled for form in the last 18 months, but was still very much in the mix when unseating rider 3 out in conditionals handicap hurdle won by The Lovely Man at Gowran when last seen in January.

Shaped well when 3¼ lengths second of 15 to Humble Brag on handicap/stable debut at Cork in May and backed that up without bettering it when 10¼ lengths fourth of 16 to Global Skies at Clonmel 26 days later. Latter race is working out well, so very much one to bear in mind off same mark.

Fairly useful winner at 2m on Flat and up to 21f over hurdles but has not shown much in either sphere since 2024. Revived from a much-reduced mark when winning handicap chase at Kilbeggan last time by neck from Rexem but not sure to back that up reverting to hurdling.

Maiden who finished runner-up in a pair of juvenile hurdles before doing all he could when a well-held fourth of 6 in a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse last season. Possibly needed run in May on handicap debut and down 2 lb, though mark still demands significant improvement.

Verdict

TANGARA BAY looked an uncomplicated sort when landing a Clonmel maiden hurdle in March and is open to further improvement now sent handicapping. Hees Dynamite has a decent track record and shaped well on return, so rates the main danger, while previous C&D winner Paul Collins and recent stable-switcher Coded Welder are also respected.
