C&D scorer last summer who has seemingly been working his way back and got off the mark for the season a bit more decisively than the winning margin indicates in 8-runner event at Ayr (6f, firm) just over a fortnight ago. Remains of interest from 3 lb higher.
C&D winner 5 years ago who proved rather in and out during a light 2025 campaign. Seemingly going the wrong way this season but the handicapper has dropped him a chunk as a result.
Won this race last year and opened his account for the season at Pontefract (5f, soft) in April. Runner-up twice since, but last couple of efforts have been disappointing, most recently over C&D (good to firm) 6 weeks ago. Bounce back needed.
Won at Pontefract (6f, good) last summer and ended 2025 with good runner-up efforts at Southwell and Haydock. Has seemingly been working his way back this year, always trailing from a ponderous start at Ripon (5f) most recently 8 weeks ago. Worth a look now 3 lb below his last winning mark.
Confirmed reappearance promise when landing 13-runner event at Ripon (6f) in April. Has struggled since, running better without staging a return to form when sixth of 9 at Thirsk (5f, good to firm) 12 days ago. Others more appealing.
In first-time blinkers when winning at Newcastle in December and has continued in good heart this year (in visor last 4 outings), second of 6 at Ayr (5f, firm) 8 days ago. Can be thereabouts once more.
Proved as good as ever to notch a second win of the season in 10-runner event over C&D (good to firm) 8 days ago, finishing to good effect to run down the pacesetters and score a shade cosily. 5 lb penalty to shoulder but effectively 2 lb well-in.
Seems to have found a new lease of life in blinkers this season, supplementing his Wetherby success last month with victory in 10-runner event over C&D a fortnight ago, admittedly aided by the run of the race. 6 lb rise makes things tougher but respected in his current mood.
Dual C&D scorer last summer. Returned with an encouraging third at Wetherby but hasn't backed it up in 4 subsequent starts, racing too close to the strong pace when 4¼ lengths seventh of 10 to Crafty Spirit over C&D on latest. Assessor continues to relent.

Forecasts
Crafty Spirit (11/4), Azuinthejungle (7/2), Opal Storm (5/1), Golden Havana (11/2), Jojo Rabbit (10/1), Without Flaw (10/1), Empress Olivia (12/1), Le Beau Garcon (12/1), Speeding Bullet (25/1)
SPEEDING BULLET's form figures this season don't exactly inspire but Paul Midgley's 5-y-o wasn't given a hard time at Ripon 8 weeks ago and now returning 3 lb below his last winning mark, he could well be worth taking a chance on. Heading up the threats is Azuinthejungle, who got off the mark for the year a bit more decisively than the winning margin indicated last time, with another last-time-out winner Crafty Spirit rounding off the shortlist.
