Fairly useful winner at up to 2m on Flat for Simon & Ed Crisford and built on a considerate hurdling debut when readily landing 9-runner maiden at Worcester (2m) 23 days ago. Type to go on improving.

Smart at best on the Flat (raced mainly at 7f) and showed an aptitude for hurdling belatedly switching codes on first outing for over 2 years/since leaving Eve Johnson Houghton when second in 5-runner novice over C&D in June. Remains to be seen if he's able to build on that.

Last both starts in points and didn't achieve a whole lot more when seventh of 12 in Market Rasen bumper on Rules debut 19 days ago.

Well held on his only outing on the Flat and didn't take to hurdling with a hood fitted at Market Rasen (19f, good) in May, pulled up before fifth.

Progressive middle-distance winner on Flat for C. W. J. Farrell. Changed hands for 60,000 gns and confirmed the promise of hurdling debut when making short work of her rivals in 17f maiden at Newton Abbot 3 weeks ago, well on top finish. Can go on improving.

Long standing maiden on the Flat (unproven beyond 12.5f) and was well held back on softer ground at Ayr on latest start. Others more convincing on this switch to hurdling.

Went with no promise in a C&D bumper (good to soft) on debut 17 days ago, going in snatches. Easily passed over on this switch to hurdling.

Modest up to 1½m on the Flat and ran to a similar level sent hurdling when second of 9 in 17f maiden at Cartmel last month, despite a clumsy round of jumping. Not sure to build on that.

Placed in points but has offered little in a bumper/maiden hurdle 16 months apart.

€48,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park mare. Dam (h90), maiden hurdler, half-sister to useful hurdler/smart chaser (stayed 25f) Pym. Placed last 2 starts in Irish points (latest May 10) and well worth a close look in the betting with Harry Cobden in the saddle.

Fair maiden on the Flat at up to 1½m for Karl Burke and is seemingly being brought along with handicaps in mind in this sphere, keeping on for remote third in a C&D novice latest.

Has shown a bit in bumper outings, though not without suggesting she may not be totally straightforward.

Looks one for handicaps at longer trips later on.

Verdict

LIKEWHATYOUSEE and Trouville have both made promising starts to their hurdle careers and are better prospects than usual for the time of year. Distinguishing between them isn’t easy, with narrow preference for Jonjo & A. J. O’Neill’s 4-y-o filly, whose Newton Abbot win was given a timely boost by the third since. Wheremyrosemarygoes has been placed in Irish points and warrants a market check ahead of Rules debut with Harry Cobden booked to ride.
