Progressive stayer on Flat who doubled his hurdles tally in dominant fashion in 5-runner handicap at Hereford (3¼m) in May. Proved to be a disappointment when pulled up back there last month but bounce back is certainly not out of the question. Eases further back in trip.
Has really found his feet for present yard in recent months, making it 3 wins from last 5 starts having been well placed but more crucially avoiding jumping errors for the latest of them over C&D 3 weeks ago, always holding on despite rider having dropped the reins. Possibilities up 5 lb.
Far from disgraced when fourth of 6 in a Worcester handicap (2m) on penultimate start in May and whilst not in same form tackling the Northumberland Vase at Newcastle (2m) 3 weeks ago, the step up to this longer trip returned to hurdling looks firmly in his favour.
Veteran who was useful earlier in his career but has offered little obvious promise since returning from a long absence, shaping as if amiss at Uttoxeter earlier this month. Cheekpieces worn then are retained here.
Confirmed her return to form for current yard when runner-up at Uttoxeter (23f) in June and not disgraced despite finishing seventh of 9 in handicap at Perth (2½m, good) 7 days ago. No forlorn hope with a first-time visor replacing usual blinkers.

Forecasts
Charging Thunder (6/5), Lion Of The Desert (11/4), Campaign Trail (7/2), Parikarma (17/2), Hillview (22/1)
The return to a much longer trip promises to suit James Owen's CHARGING THUNDER quickly reverting to hurdling and he may be able to capitalise on his reduced mark again partnered by Sean Bowen. Campaign Trail is an obvious threat if dispelling a lesser effort last time, whilst Lion of The Desert is going through a real purple patch and is similarly respected if continuing to keep the errors at bay.
