Pulled up as many times as he's completed for this yard but hinted at a revival before a late error and a possible lack of stamina had him drift out of contention over C&D (good) 9 days ago. Others preferred kept to this trip.
Irish point winner who looked a good prospect in bumpers but has run to a similar level in 3 starts over hurdles, finishing runner-up over a longer trip at Market Rasen (23f) last month. One to look out for with attentions now turned to the larger obstacles.
Southwell scorer last May who arrives in good nick, looking a major player for much of the way until Hexham's uphill home turn surprisingly found him out last month. Should be suited by return to flatter track and can get back to winning ways.
Gain reward for consistency when taking Sedgefield maiden hurdle in February 2025. Ran to a similar level in 2 starts over fences last autumn and gave his running after 7 months off when second of 6 at Uttoxeter (2½m, good to soft) just under 4 weeks ago. In the mix.
Dual C&D scorer last summer. Good return from a break when second of 6 at Stratford in May and can have his latest effort there ignored (pulled up after the rider lost his irons fifth). Hood left off.
Made it 3 wins from his last 7 starts in 9-runner event at Newton Abbot (3¼m, good) 17 days ago, looking in control between the last 2 yet still closed down late after dossing on the run-in. 4 lb higher here and remains essentially one to treat with caution.

Getaway Vic (7/4), Edgewell (5/2), Ridin Solo (3/1), Always Busy (10/1), Grillon De Monty (12/1), Doyouknowwhatimean (16/1), Betty's Tiara (20/1)
ALWAYS BUSY shaped as if still in good form before the climb for home at Hexham found him out last month. Promising to be suited by this return to a flatter track, Christian Willams' 8-y-o gets the nod over Getaway Vic, who has found only one too good in maiden hurdles the last twice and now attentions are turned to the larger obstacles. The mercurial Edgewell rounds off the shortlist.
