Made up into a useful sort last year but operating from a much higher mark now and he's not figured either start in handicaps at Chester/Epsom (tried in cheekpieces) in recent months. Might need a bit more respite from the assessor.
Straightforward type who doubled his tally for the season when landing City & Suburban Handicap at Epsom in April. That form has been very well advertised and he again ran with credit when ninth at York (10.3f) 3 weeks ago. Revised mark does leave him vulnerable from a win perspective, however.
Low-mileage 6-y-o who registered a second C&D victory when taking this race from 1 lb higher 12 months ago. Lightly raced since, setting himself up nicely for a repeat bid when fourth in the Zetland Gold Cup at Redcar (1¼m) 6 weeks ago.
Looked a good prospect when winning first 2 starts in spring 2024. Well held subsequently that year but took his form up a notch on both starts last season, latterly second of 11 at Newbury (1¼m, soft) in September. Left John & Thady Gosden (58,000 gns) following month and off since.
Thrived on a busy winter schedule, adding another all-weather success to his tally over further at Wolverhampton in March. Has essentially struggled in some top end handicaps over a variety of trips more recently and the assessor is proving slow to cut him much slack.
Newbury maiden winner (at 1m) who showed benefit of reappearance run eased markedly in class when making breakthrough in handicaps at York (9f) 3 weeks ago, showing a good attitude. Goes back up in grade now but he's in excellent hands and could yet have more to offer up further in trip.
Has some strong form to his name and having had excuses at Epsom on his penultimate start he took a step back in the right direction when fourth at Newmarket (1m) 2 weeks ago. Went about it in rather laboured fashion though, and possible he's best with give underfoot. Up in trip.
Lightly raced 4-y-o who had clearly derived plenty from his York reappearance effort when posting a good second at Newcastle (1¼m) 9 days ago, doing well to get amongst those who sat at the head of affairs. Still not fully exposed and not discounted back on turf.
Not long with new connections and he continues to shape well, catching the eye when third at Epsom on penultimate start and unlucky to bump into an unexposed handicap debutant at Nottingham 2 weeks ago. Clearly on an exploitable mark and interesting with Oisin Murphy booked.

POINT OF CONTACT faces a sterner assignment than for his breakthrough handicap victory at York 3 weeks ago, yet that is form to be positive about (backed up by the timefigure) and, not yet fully exposed, Andrew Balding's charge may be up to defying a 3 lb higher mark again partnered by Ryan Moore. Spoken Truth continues to shape up well in defeat and he's clearly on an exploitable mark. Stem, Cloth of Stars and last year's winner Final Frontier also merit respect.
