Front runner. Enterprisingly ridden when winning on reappearance for the second successive season at Southwell early last month. He could make a bold bid off 9 lb higher, though remains to be seen if he gets as much rope.

Fairly useful sort. Ran his best race for Nigel & Willy Twiston-Davies when runner-up in Bangor handicap in mid-May. Subsequently sold for £27,000, and he's very interesting now reverted to fences (following a breathing operation) by excellent new yard.
|
Winner of back-to-back handicaps at Perth before going off the boil last summer. Cheekpieces return (responded well previously), and he ought to at least be competitive given his record fresh.
|
Largely consistent over fences. Probably booked for second when left with the race at his mercy in a Stratford handicap 4 days ago. Carries a 7-lb penalty for that success, and he takes on better-calibre opposition here.

Forecasts
Gore Point (6/4), Krak (7/4), Duke Of Luckley (7/2), Schmilsson (8/1)
KRAK is far from exposed over fences and can make his first start for Dan Skelton a winning one. Duke Of Luckley is entitled to make a bold bid in another small-field affair, though he may just be bumping into an improver.
