Wasdell Dundalk^p²⁵

Age: 11| Weight: 12-1| J: Danny McMenamin| T: Miss L Harrison| OR: 111| C

6/1

Plenty of good runs at this course (4-timer winner) and he should be at peak fitness now after 2 comeback runs in recent weeks. Eases in class and he lurks on a dangerous mark with cheekpieces back on.

Form: 2P84-64

Gunnery Sergeant^p,t³²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-12| J: S Bowen| T: G Elliott| OR: 108

7/4

Runner-up in maiden hurdles at Fairyhouse and Downpatrick last spring and while he didn't match that form twice over fences, those efforts weren't devoid of promise. Makes handicap debut for leading yard and may have a bigger performance in him.

Form: 0225-85

Moodofthemoment^p¹¹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-11| J: Sean Quinlan| T: D Thompson| OR: 107| D

15/2

Hard to catch right and looks to be merely ticking over at present, backing out of things at Hexham 11 days ago.

Form: P1P-643

Garde Des Champs^p,t²⁵

Age: 10| Weight: 11-10| J: Alan Doyle⁽³⁾| T: L Russell & M Scudamore| OR: 106| C

9/4

Perth regular who was third in 2024 and fourth in 2025 in this corresponding race. Also won over 2m here last summer and no surprise he's back up in trip having looked fairly hard work here 3 weeks ago.

Form: 3448-43

Kinbara Firstdraft²⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 11-7| J: Conor Rabbitt⁽³⁾| T: L Kerr| OR: 103| C| D

11/2

First run since leaving Stuart Crawford when respectable seventh of 12 in 2m handicap hurdle at this course 25 days ago. Handicapper quick to lend a hand but first stint over fences was hardly brimming with promise.

Form: 5874-57

Button Rock⁵¹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-11| J: D R Fox| T: A B Hamilton| OR: 93

28/1

Bit more like it when sixth in first-time blinkers at Sligo in May. Since left Gordon Elliott and new connections quick to send him chasing (maiden pointer).

Form: 78050-6

Jiair Madrik²⁶

Weight: 11-10| Age: 7

Forecasts

Gunnery Sergeant (7/4), Garde Des Champs (9/4), Jiair Madrik (9/4), Kinbara Firstdraft (11/2), Wasdell Dundalk (6/1), Moodofthemoment (15/2), Button Rock (28/1)

Down in class WASDELL DUNDALK is awarded the tentative vote as he should be spot on for this now. Fellow Perth regular Garde des Champs is a definite threat, along with Gunnery Sergeant.
