8/1

Solid placed efforts on his last 3 starts at 5f on turf, including 2nd over C&D last month and 3rd of 8 at Brighton 23 days ago. Raced freely on both those occasions and now tried without the visor.

Over Spiced^p²⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 10-1| J: Ashley Lewis| T: G Harris| OR: 69| D

15/2

Won at Bath in May and creditable third of 9 at Sandown Park 20 days ago on latest start. Drop in class today could see her involved with promising apprentice aboard.

Form: 215543

Truly Glamorous¹⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: Harry Vigors⁽³⁾| T: C Mason| OR: 66| D

4/1

Improved since joining new yard, fourth of 10 at Windsor in May on stable debut before winning 10-runner event there 17 days ago. 5 lb rise to contend with but still unexposed and has good-value apprentice on board so looks sure to be in the mix.

Form: 9726-41

Artista¹²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: Libby Swallow⁽⁷⁾| T: Ollie Sangster| OR: 66| D

14/1

Hasn't won since last August. Only seventh of 9 in a handicap at Newmarket over 6f 12 days ago. Back down to 5f now but has plenty to prove with very inexperienced rider aboard.

Form: 543507

(9)

Just Jump¹⁰^{(ex 5)}

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: Myla Coppins⁽³⁾| T: A W Carroll| OR: 56| D

9/4

Quirky sort who refused to race in May but landed gamble at Windsor 10 days ago, staying on to lead final 100 yds and beating Faustus 1¼ lengths. Stable bang in-form but has penalty and a higher grade to contend with, while he's not certain to be in the same mood, either.

Form: 3758R1

(3)

Nifty^b¹²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-4| J: Donagh Murphy⁽³⁾| T: R Hughes| OR: 63

20/1

Twice a winner over 6f last year but below form this time around and continues to fall in the weights without showing any sign of taking advantage.

Form: 53-8056

(6)

Faustus^p¹⁰

Age: 8| Weight: 9-3| J: Alexandra Egan⁽³⁾| T: R Cook & J Bridger| OR: 57| CD

11/4

Won this race last year and is twice a C&D winner. Bounced back from tumbling mark when second of 12 to Just Jump in re-fitted cheekpieces at Windsor 10 days ago and is capable of getting closer to that rival with a swing in the weights so he's one to take very seriously despite advancing years.

Form: 673772

(2)

Havana Jag¹⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: Ethan Tindall| T: J Gallagher| OR: 59

28/1

Winless in 10 starts. Shaped as if needing the run when 4th of 6 at Brighton on debut for this yard 10 days ago. May show more with that outing under her belt but looks easy enough to oppose.

Form: 4-53444

Forecasts

Just Jump (9/4), Faustus (11/4), Truly Glamorous (4/1), Over Spiced (15/2), Merrimack (8/1), Life After Love (12/1), Artista (14/1), Nifty (20/1), Havana Jag (28/1)

FAUSTUS is a proven C&D winner who captured this race last year and ran well when second to the quirky Just Jump, who now has a penalty to contend with, at Windsor 10 days ago. He responded positively to the return of cheekpiece that day and looks capable of reversing the form. Truly Glamorous is a lightly-raced sort who looks on the up for his new yard.
