Fair Flat maiden who showed much improved form to get off the mark on handicap debut at Hereford (2m) in April. Nothing wrong with both efforts since and he now goes chasing following a breathing operation.
Hasn't always been the most assured jumper but had no problems in that department when landing back-to-back handicaps at Southwell and Bangor last autumn. Well prepared after 5 months off when adding to tally at Warwick and he demands respect at this sort of level.
Headstrong sort who has failed to complete all 5 starts for current connections.
Got off the mark over fences at Doncaster (2m) in February 2025. Lightly raced since and recoiled from a mildly-promising reappearance when fourth at Fakenham trying 21f for the first time.
Looked like one with problems during latter time for Dan Skelton so no surprise he failed badly to match form achieved on chase debut upped to 23f here 3 weeks ago. Back markedly in distance.
Fetched £130,000 after finishing second in an Irish point and made the frame all 3 starts in maiden hurdles at around 2½m in 2024/25. Wheels have come off rather in handicaps since, a breathing operation not helping his cause here 3 weeks ago. Blinkers replace cheekpieces with tongue tie added.
Landed a third win for Tom Lacey with a smooth success in handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot (17f) in August. Found his good run of form coming to a halt at Kempton in November but caught the eye on chasing debut at Stratford in May and he's strongly fancied to build on that.
Fair bumper scorer who didn't really kick on over hurdles after finishing second at Warwick last spring. Failed to stay 2½m at Fakenham in May and now back in trip for chasing debut.
Limited impact over hurdles but a different proposition switched to the larger obstacles when causing a 28/1 upset over C&D 2 weeks ago. Appeared to be no fluke about it so 5 lb rise shouldn't prevent a bold follow-up bid.
From a good jumping family but hard to enthuse about her performances so far, including over fences the last twice.

Forecasts
Greer Hill (10/3), Lord Chamberlain (7/2), Turpin Gold (7/2), Merely A Detail (11/2), Disco Davis (11/1), Tommy Cullen (11/1), Neigh Botha (12/1), Jack To Bat (16/1), Miss Denver (22/1), Stormin Crossgales (250/1)
Having come to chasing late in the day, TURPIN GOLD made a pleasing start when third at Stratford a month ago and fancied to build on that, he could be the answer. The larger obstacles could be the making of recent C&D scorer Greer Hill so he's a threat, along with Neigh Botha, who has a good strike rate for this level.
