Zoustar colt. 20/1, showed something to work on when sixth of 11 in novice at Salisbury (6f, good) on debut 15 days ago. The sole runner to have come out from that race since has won and he should do better.

Starspangledbanner colt, 70,000 gns yearling. 14/1, shaped with plenty of encouragement when sixth of 12 in novice at Nottingham (6f, good to soft) on debut 26 days ago, having to pick way through under considerate handling. Has plenty of scope to improve.

Forecasts

Primal (2/5), Tumishi (9/4), Adeel (13/2), Firehorse (11/1), Sovereigns High (12/1), Kigali (12/1), Fully Stocked (18/1), Ongombo (18/1), Stoney Wood (50/1), Vesper Honey (80/1), Cruse On Bye (150/1)

Verdict

PRIMAL shaped with plenty of promise on debut at Nottingham and, representing a yard whose runners improve considerably second time up, can open his account. Tumishi was a costly breeze-up purchase and shouldn't be far away with his first run (in the same novice as Primal) under his belt, with Kigali sure to take a step forward too. Firehorse looks the pick of the newcomers on paper.
