Justified support to open her account in a classified event at Leicester earlier this month before following up in ready fashion in similar company at Brighton (7f, good) 6 days ago. Might find this tougher back in handicap company under a penalty.

My Old Mate¹⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: Jude Fernandes⁽⁷⁾| T: G & J Moore| OR: 54

7/4

Produced his best effort to date when second of 12 in handicap at this C&D (good to soft) 19 days ago, just ahead of Buckland Belle, and he'll be in the mix again if able to back that up from 1 lb higher.

13/8

Found some progress to get off the mark on turf debut over C&D in May (form has worked out well) and backed up the improvement showed then when finishing a close-up third over same C&D 3 weeks ago, narrowly behind My Old Mate. Makes plenty of appeal again.

Raced freely but made more impact than previously when third of 8 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7f, 11/2) 25 days ago. Shouldn't be inconvenienced by return to 1m with cheekpieces on 1st time.

Maiden who showed enough to think she's got a race in her from this sort of mark when runner-up over 9.5f at Wolverhampton in March, travelling best before being collared by an improving type. Poorly placed there last time but has 95-day absence to overcome and is yet to prove herself on turf.

Forecasts

Buckland Belle (13/8), My Old Mate (7/4), Shes Got The Blues (10/3), She's Crafty (12/1), Labiche (14/1), Lapidarist (16/1)

BUCKLAND BELLE is very closely matched with My Old Mate on their recent C&D meeting and preference is narrowly for the Ollie Sangster filly with the good-value Conor Whiteley in the plate. Labiche can complete the 1-2-3.
