Food For Thought²⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: P J Dobbs| T: R M Beckett| OR: 80| BF

7/4

Dubawi filly who left behind her debut when second at Yarmouth (1m) last October (winner placed at listed level since). Forced pace/took strong hold when disappointing on Chepstow (7f) return but this Irish Oaks entrant may have a bigger performance in her if settling over a much longer trip.

Form: 62-4

Hatta Romance¹⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Tyler Heard| T: M D I Usher

16/1

Frankel filly who doesn't have the looks to match her pedigree, but she showed ability when (200/1) fifth of 11 in a 9f Newbury novice on debut. Likely to be third best behind a couple from powerful stables here, though.

Form: 5

Velvet Vega¹⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Benoit D L Sayette| T: J & T Gosden| BF

4/7

€240,000 Lope De Vega filly who bumped into smart Earth Shot at Newmarket first time up prior to disappointing when third in a Kempton maiden. However, she perhaps paid the price for trying to match strides with a blue-blooded winner that day and her debut form sets the standard in a weak race.

Form: 23

Forecasts

Velvet Vega (4/7), Food For Thought (7/4), Hatta Romance (16/1)

The market principals both disappointed last time, but a significant step up in trip may see an improved performance from FOOD FOR THOUGHT, who is narrowly preferred to Velvet Vega in what looks a match race on paper.
