Thatchers Handicap Chase

Had looked to be going the wrong way but responded well to a tongue strap when off the mark over hurdles here in April and backed that up to an extent when fourth at Bangor. Not taken lightly sent chasing (placed in points).

Hasn't always convinced with his attitude but won back-to-back races at Hereford in the spring. Lacklustre efforts next 3 starts but better signs at Fontwell 2 weeks ago and now 2 lb below last winning mark.

Has rediscovered some consistency this year and looked set to justify favouritism when unseating rider 2 out at Fontwell last month. Up 3 lb but is unexposed at this distance.

C&D winner last summer but arrives on the back of 3 heavy defeats. Headgear re-fitted back from a break.

Well handicapped on the form she showed when winning at Stratford 2 years ago but hasn't shown enough in 2 comeback runs (off 15 months) over hurdles to suggest she retains all of that ability.

Long-standing maiden for Peter Bowen and showed nothing after 3 years off in a hunter at Stratford for J Rhidian Jones. Headgear on.

Narrow winner at Hereford (25f) in October. Mixed form of late but has now dipped below last winning mark. Headgear back on.

Did well over C&D last summer, including when recording his sole career win off 3 lb higher. Ran well for a long way before shaping as if the outing was needed at Warwick on return and better expected now having been sensibly given time to recover.

Off the mark at the second attempt over fences for Tim Easterby in 2023. Hasn't clocked many miles since and offered little in 4 starts for this yard last season.
