Belatedly off the mark at Chelmsford in February and doubled his tally in ready fashion when dropped into classified company in a 10-runner event at Wolverhampton (7f) 20 days ago. More will likely be required if he's to follow up back in a handicap.

Fair 7f winner for Declan Carroll in 2025. Has gone close twice for new yard this season, finding only one too good over 7f at Catterick and Carlisle in May, and can be probably be forgiven his latest mid-field finish at Beverley on account of a poor track position. Drawn wide again here.
Headstrong sort who had been thriving on a busy schedule this spring, winning at Wolverhampton and Hamilton alongside finishing placed on 4 other occasions across 6 starts. A little bit below that level when fourth at Musselburgh (5f) last time and now steps back up in trip with a first-time hood.
Confirmed return to form when off the mark at Musselburgh (7f, good) in April. Didn't fire in first-time cheekpieces at Doncaster next time but swiftly back to form with headgear discarded when third of 11 back at Musselburgh (1m, good to firm) 16 days ago, finishing clear of the rest. Considered.
Four-time course winner was placed twice at Wolverhampton in the spring but ran below form after a 10-week break at Carlisle (6f, good) last week. Type to bounce back at a track where he goes well.
Course winner who stepped up on his return effort when creditable fourth of 11 in handicap at Catterick (7f, good) last month. Struggled with the drop to 5f in a Wolverhampton classified event 3 weeks ago but should do better returned to this more suitable distance.
Without a win since her 2-y-o days but wasn't disgraced on just her second outing on all-weather when sixth of 14 in 1m handicap at Newcastle in April. Looked stretched by the trip upped to 9f at Musselburgh last month but others still strike as likelier winners despite drop back to 7f.
Winless since scoring at Wetherby last April and not enough in his recent outings to suggest he'll be changing that any time soon.

War Memorial (11/4), Captain Cess (3/1), Emerald Army (9/2), Misemerald (15/2), Rain Cap (9/1), Classy Clarets (9/1), Sanditon (16/1), Blue Jay Way (16/1), Martin's Brig (25/1), Wath Court (66/1)
CAPTAIN CESS is unexposed at this sort of trip and the evidence of his recent Wetherby third suggests he might be particularly well suited by the return to 7f on just his second start for the Carroll yard. War Memorial and course specialist Rain Cap are also shortlisted.
