Settled better returned to a sprint trip and got back to the pick of his juvenile form when third of 11 in handicap at Ripon (6f, good) last week. Well drawn to attack so not discounted.

Matched pick of her exploits as a juvenile on return at Catterick (5f, good to firm) but unable to build on that switched to all-weather at Southwell last time. Handicapper drops her another couple and no surprise to see her back on turf.
Dual 7f Newcastle handicap winner this winter, latterly by a nose in January. Bit below that level dropped back to 6f there 9 days later and not seen since. Also needs to prove he's effective on turf.
Ran her best race when third of 8 in handicap at Redcar (5f, good to firm) 10 days ago, though did compromise herself with a slow start. First-time visor may sharpen her up in that regard and could be worth chancing to get off the mark.
Went out like a light having raced freely with a first-time hood enlisted on return/handicap debut at Nottingham in April but left that behind dropped to 5f minus a hood when third of 9 in handicap at Catterick (good to firm) 5 days ago. Task is to now build on that here.
Proving much more miss than hit so far, including when eighth of 12 in handicap at Newcastle (5f) on return last month. Entitled to be sharper for that run and first-time headgear is reached for.
Displayed plenty of zip in 6f handicaps in recent weeks, leading until 2f out having raced freely when fourth of 9 at Ripon (good to firm) last month. May settle better in reapplied cheekpieces and that race has already produced 2 next-time-out winners (slight drop in trip should benefit).
Ran one of her better races in first-time tongue strap having dropped to a mark in the 40s when second of 9 at Catterick (5f, good to firm) 5 days ago. Needs to prove that wasn't a false dawn.

Forecasts
Northern Tempest (9/4), Ellie's De Vega (9/2), Data Fata Secutus (9/2), Powernap (5/1), Wayward Queen (13/2), Dabbling (8/1), Sea Her Excel (10/1), Surgeon Commander (12/1), Ryefield (20/1), Petes Diamond (33/1)
A tricky finale to solve but the vote goes to DATA FATA SECUTUS, who ran her best race when third at Redcar 10 days ago and first-time headgear may well eke out that bit extra from Rebecca Menzies' filly. Heading up the dangers is Ellie's de Vega, who shaped as though still in good form when fourth at Ripon last month (race has already produced a couple of next-time-out winners). Northern Tempest and Powernap can fight out minor honours.
