JAL Roofing Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

Landed a gamble with ease at Bangor before improving further in defeat when runner-up in a solid handicap at Market Rasen and has a simple-looking task to resume winning ways on return to maiden company.

Point runner-up who showed more than previously when fourth of 8 in a course novice (2½m) last time. However, he was allowed the run of the race and faces stiffer opposition on first start over this longer trip.

Matched the pick of his (fair) bumper form when third of 10 in a Cartmel (2¾m) novice on hurdles bow, doing best of those held up, and may prove best of the rest behind Coumeenoole.

Millenary mare. Dam (h96), 2½m hurdle winner, closely related to Fionn Mac Cul (stayed 19f) and Norley (stayed 21f, both fairly useful hurdlers). Winning pointer who finished runner-up between the flags in early-April but is likely competing for minor honours on Rules debut.

Has hinted at more ability than her form figures might imply, finishing sixth of 10 in a Cartmel novice on first start for Harriet Dickin, and could be in contention for a place.

Showed little at long odds in a pair of bumpers last season and now significantly up in trip (with first-time tongue strap added) for hurdles debut.
