Useful handicapper on the Flat for Mrs J. Harrington and well served by sharp nature of the track when opening her hurdles account at Wexford (17f) 16 days ago. Still plenty keen enough then but she was well on top at the finish. Possibilities again for yard who look to be turning the corner.
Surpassed bumper form at the first time of asking over hurdles when successful at Downpatrick in July. Development has stalled in handicap company since, though, offering little after 5 months off at Fairyhouse in April. Starts out for new yard now.
Better effort when fourth of 14 in handicap at Wexford (2m) in October but failed to build on that when seventh at Cork the following month. Absent/changed yards since and market can prove a useful guide.
Went off the boil following a brace of hurdle wins at Wexford last summer and her recent exploits haven't been all that encouraging, albeit out of her depth on latest outing over fences. Still, others rate stronger.
Still to taste success but produced best effort to date in this sphere when second of 13 in handicap at Killarney in October. Ended time with Gavin Cromwell on a below-par note but entitled to strip fitter for last month's stable/chase debut effort.
Not straightforward but showed definite signs of ability on 2 of her first 3 starts over hurdles last spring. Pulled hard and looked set for a midfield finish when falling last on return from 12 months off at Ballinrobe recently but no surprise where she to take a big step forward on handicap bow.
Well held in mares maiden hurdles/bumper first 3 starts but settled better equipped with a hood and advanced her form a little when seventh of 19 in a Down Royal maiden (17.4f) 4 weeks ago. Looks the type to do better now handicapping.
Landed this race from a 4 lb lower mark 12 months ago but she's essentially been disappointing since, running poorly at Bellewstown (17f) on her most recent outing 44 days ago. Return to this venue needs to have a positive effect now.
Hasn't kicked on from her hurdle debut third at Roscommon but looks on a fair opening mark if she can recapture that form with booking of O'Keeffe catching the eye.
No impact in bumpers/maiden hurdles but type her yard does well with in handicaps, so noteworthy if the market spoke in her favour.

Forecasts
Patty O'Farrell (9/2), Inchiquin Star (9/2), Mo Ghille Mar (5/1), Mollys Star (11/2), Cool Summer (13/2), Diamond Tipp (13/2), Shannon Bank (8/1), Western Princess (12/1), Chosen Shant (25/1), Cinnabar Moth (40/1)
WESTERN PRINCESS hasn't looked entirely straightforward by any means but could well be the type to take off in handicaps for her top yard with a recent run under her belt and earns the vote. Mo Ghille Mar scored in good style at Wexford and is feared for a yard displaying better signs. Cool Summer and Mollys Star complete the shortlist.
- Western Princess12/1
- Cool Summer13/2
