Won 3 times over 1¼m last season and seems to be working his way back to peak fitness this year, not knocked about at Redcar last time. Mark has dipped again but he hasn't convinced in 2 previous tries over 1½m so has stamina to prove.

Resumed winning ways back in blinkers (refitted here) in decisive fashion at Newcastle (12.5f) in March but not in anything like the same form either start since on turf/all-weather. Needs to bounce back.

Relished the step up to 1¾m last season, scoring in clear-cut fashion at Haydock and Chester in September. Back on track when second in 4-runner Nottingham apprentice handicap (evens) last time, although failed to get the job done having looked sure to do so 1f out. Good claims but clearly risky.

In good heart for new yard, winning 1¾m Southwell handicap last month and just failing at Thirsk next time. Seems sure to go well again.

SHIPSHAPE just failed at Thirsk bidding to follow up his Southwell victory and continues in fine heart for Bernard Llewellyn. He looks a safer proposition than Gentle Warrior, who not for the first time appeared to throw away a good opportunity at Nottingham.
