Proved as good as ever on second start back after an absence when winning similar event at Hereford 3 weeks ago, picking off the long-time leader at the last. 4 lb rise might be enough to prevent the follow up.

Seemed to benefit from the step back up in trip/switch to hold-up tactics when opening his account in handicaps at Market Rasen (23f) in March. Jumped poorly and well beaten there 3 weeks ago and has since left James Owen. Has looked a tricky ride and Sean Bowen booked for new yard.

Made up into a fairly useful chaser in 2025/26, winning 3 times, including over 3¼m at this track in December. Poor efforts the last twice, including back hurdling at Southwell 8 weeks ago, but 3 lb drop will help his cause.

Fine record at this course, notching up victory number 4 in 3¼m handicap chase last month in a change of headgear, getting on top late. Won back-to-back races this time last year and poised for another big run back over hurdles.

Front runner who took advantage of a drop in the weights with a game victory in 3¼m Newton Abbot handicap hurdle last month and ran just about as well in defeat off revised mark back there 3 weeks ago. Headgear back on and not dismissed.
