Wrights 100 Year Dash Open NH Flat Race (GBB Race)

Isn't bred to be much but was well backed when third in a Worcester bumper on debut last September and that form puts him right in the mix.

€52,000 3-y-o, Poet's Word gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler/smart chaser (stayed 25f) Puffin Billy and bumper winner/useful hurdler (stayed 21f) Zuzka. From a top yard who had a winning bumper debutant earlier this month and he needs a close look in the betting.

Easy to back but showed more than first time up when third of 8 in a bumper at Worcester, though he did have the run of the race on that occasion and will need to improve to open his account.

Showed a fair amount of ability when second in a bumper at Warwick on debut. Worth noting a rare National Hunt runner for this stable (19% strike rate in bumpers since mid-1990s) and he's likely the one to beat.

With sights lowered, he left his debut form well behind when a strong-travelling second of 5 in a first-time tongue strap at Exeter and is entitled to go close if building on that.
