Wrights Always Tasty Classic Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

French import who ended his time there with a pair of claiming chase wins, latest at Bordeaux (19f) in March. Well beaten on UK debut here (21f, good) 3 weeks ago.

Held form well last season, deservedly getting off the mark at Sedgefield in March. Finished tired after coming in for an aggressive ride when runner-up there (3¼m, good to soft) 53 days ago but been given a bit of time to get over that and she makes appeal.

Won 2 handicap chases at Market Rasen last season, with latest success over 3m in January. Bounced back to form after a couple of poor efforts when runner-up at Southwell earlier in the month and first-time blinkers goes on to try and eke out extra.

Major improver switched to handicaps since the turn of the year, winning back-to-back races on soft/heavy ground over 3¼m at Fontwell and Warwick. Ran creditably from a higher mark when fifth of 10 at Wincanton (25f, good, 10/3) 62 days ago and he's respected on chase debut.

Thorough stayer who is in good form at present, bagging small-field events at Huntingdon and Wincanton in recent months. Unable to cope with a speedier rival when a rallying second in a 4-runner event at Hereford (25f, good) 19 days ago and he should another good account.

Few miles on the clock for a 10-y-o and appears to have turned a corner attitude-wise of late, completing a hat-trick in a 10-runner handicap at Hexham (3m, heavy) in March, finishing well clear of the sole other finisher. Up another 9 lb under different conditions here, though.

Remains a maiden over fences, though he produced several encouraging efforts in defeat when last seen in 2024/25. Nevertheless, probably best watched returning for a new yard (formerly with Lucinda Russell) after 14 months off.
